Skoll Foundation Financial Information

The Skoll Foundation encompasses two separate corporations: a private foundation, The Skoll Foundation, and a public charity whose legal name is The Skoll Fund. The Skoll Fund, created in 1999, is a supporting organization associated with the Silicon Valley Community Foundation of Mountain View, California. The private foundation was launched in 2002. Each entity is governed by its own board of directors. Both organizations were founded to advance systemic chance to benefit communities throughout the world, together they are known as the Skoll Foundation.

Sundance Institute Launches Documentary Partnership With Skoll Foundation : 9/25/2007
Sundance Institute and the Skoll Foundation announced today a $3 million, three-year partnership dedicated to exploring film's role in advancing knowledge about social entrepreneurship. The grant will support the launch of Stories of Change: Social Entrepreneurship In Focus Through Documentary, a new initiative spearheaded by the Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program.
